Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup calamansi juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large onions, sliced into rings
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine calamansi juice, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Marinate the beef slices in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion rings until caramelized. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sear the marinated beef slices until browned. Pour in the remaining marinade and beef broth. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the caramelized onions back into the pan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
