Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized bitter gourds, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the thinly sliced bitter gourd and sauté for 5-7 minutes until they turn crispy.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
