Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Melnbālsam liqueur
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  2. Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute.
  3. Add the unsalted butter and Melnbālsam liqueur to the bowl and stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours, or until it is firm enough to scoop.
  5. Using a small spoon or melon baller, scoop out small portions of the chocolate mixture and roll them into balls using your hands.
  6. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat evenly.
  7. Place the coated truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
