Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the sliced onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the freshly ground black pepper and stir-fry for a minute to release the aroma.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add the cooked beef back into the wok and stir to combine with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
