Ingredients

  • 500g paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth. Add black pepper powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. In a pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the marinated paneer cubes along with the marinade to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring gently.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
