Mustikka-lakkapaistos, or Blueberry Cloudberry Crumble, is a traditional Sami dessert that combines the tartness of blueberries with the sweetness of cloudberries. This warm and comforting dish is perfect for enjoying during the colder months.
Ingredients
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup cloudberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, cloudberries, sugar, and cinnamon. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oats, and brown sugar. Add the cold butter pieces and use your fingers to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the berry mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
