Ingredients

  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1/2 lb Chinese sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice and drain well. Place it in the clay pot and add water. Let it soak for 30 minutes.
  2. Arrange the Chinese sausage and shiitake mushrooms on top of the rice.
  3. Cover the clay pot and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the toppings are heated through.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, drizzle the sauce over the toppings and rice. Sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  6. Stir everything together before serving.
