Bobby's Goulash
This is a hearty and comforting goulash recipe that has been passed down through generations in my family. It's a perfect dish for a cozy night in or to feed a crowd at a gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes. Stir in the paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the mixture for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Add the elbow macaroni and continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve hot.
