Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms are tender.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the sour cream and return the beef to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the beef stroganoff over dumplings or rice, garnished with chopped parsley.
