Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup grated paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the grated paneer, chopped onion, tomato, green chili, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and chaat masala.
  2. Spread the paneer mixture on two slices of bread and cover with the remaining two slices to make sandwiches.
  3. Spread butter on the outsides of the sandwiches.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat and place the sandwiches in the pan.
  5. Grill the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
