Bosanski Lonac, also known as Bosnian Bosanski Lonac, is a traditional Balkan stew that is cooked in a single pot. This hearty and flavorful dish is perfect for gatherings and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, cubed
- 1 lb lamb, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, cubed
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Water
Instructions
- Layer the beef and lamb in the bottom of a large pot.
- Add the chopped onion on top of the meat.
- Layer the sliced carrots, cubed potatoes, and chopped bell pepper on top of the onion.
- Add the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and bay leaf to the pot.
- Season with salt and pepper, then pour enough water to cover all the ingredients.
- Cover the pot and cook over medium heat for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked.
- Remove the bay leaf before serving.
