Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, cubed
  • 1 lb lamb, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, cubed
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Layer the beef and lamb in the bottom of a large pot.
  2. Add the chopped onion on top of the meat.
  3. Layer the sliced carrots, cubed potatoes, and chopped bell pepper on top of the onion.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and bay leaf to the pot.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then pour enough water to cover all the ingredients.
  6. Cover the pot and cook over medium heat for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked.
  7. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
