Bosnian Ćevapčići with Kaymak (Ćevapčići s Kaymakom)
Ćevapčići s Kaymakom is a traditional Balkan dish that consists of grilled minced meat sausages served with a creamy dairy product called kaymak. This dish is popular in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other countries in the Balkan region.
Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 200g kaymak
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into small sausages, about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the Ćevapčići for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice char on the outside.
- Serve the grilled Ćevapčići with a generous dollop of kaymak on the side.
