Ingredients

  • 1 medium bottle gourd, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add green chilies and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add diced bottle gourd, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add water and cook until the bottle gourd is tender.
  6. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
