Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package of phyllo pastry sheets
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the spinach, feta cheese, ricotta cheese, dill, green onions, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Place one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with 5 more sheets, stacking them on top of each other.
  4. Spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly over the layered phyllo pastry.
  5. Layer 6 more sheets of phyllo pastry on top of the spinach mixture, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  6. Using a sharp knife, cut the layered pastry into squares or triangles.
  7. Place the pastry pieces on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
