Bourekas Bites
Bourekas Bites are a popular Israeli pastry that are perfect for snacking or serving as an appetizer. These delicious bites are filled with a savory filling and wrapped in flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 24 squares.
- In a bowl, mix the feta cheese and chopped spinach.
- Place a spoonful of the feta and spinach mixture onto each puff pastry square.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
- Place the bourekas bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush the tops with the beaten egg, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
