Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken feet
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken feet and trim off any nails. Cut off the tip of each claw.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken feet to the pot and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Add the sugar, star anise, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 1.5-2 hours until the chicken feet are tender.
  6. Once the chicken feet are tender, uncover the pot and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens.
  7. Remove the star anise and cinnamon stick before serving.
