Ingredients
- 500g chicken feet
- 2 slices of ginger
- 2 green onions, cut into sections
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 dried chili pepper
- 1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Wash the chicken feet and trim off the nails. Blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Heat some oil in a wok, add ginger, green onions, and chicken feet. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, sugar, Shaoxing wine, star anise, cinnamon stick, dried chili pepper, Sichuan peppercorns, salt, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Once the chicken feet are tender and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and serve.
