Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and brown them on both sides.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions to the pot. Stir-fry for a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.
- Add water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the chicken is tender.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and place it on a serving dish.
- Turn the heat to high and reduce the sauce until it thickens. Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve hot.
