Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, cut into pieces
- 4 slices of ginger
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup cooking wine
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, blanch the duck pieces in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove and drain.
- Heat some oil in the pot, then add ginger and green onions. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the blanched duck pieces back into the pot. Pour in soy sauce, cooking wine, and sugar. Stir well.
- Pour in water and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours until the duck is tender.
- Once done, transfer the braised duck to a serving dish and garnish with green onions. Serve hot.
