Ingredients

  • 500g eel, cut into pieces
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 slices of ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the eel pieces with soy sauce and cooking wine for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, then add ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated eel pieces and sugar. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 15 minutes until the eel is tender.
  5. Adjust the seasoning with soy sauce if needed.
  6. Serve the braised eel hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
