Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs lamb, cut into chunks
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups water
- 2 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the lamb chunks and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, ginger, and garlic to the pot. Stir well to coat the lamb.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
- Add the green onions and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Once the lamb is tender and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and serve hot.
