Ingredients
- 500g pork belly, cut into chunks
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, cut into sections
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Blanch the pork belly in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Heat a wok or deep skillet over medium heat, add the pork belly and cook until browned.
- Add ginger, garlic, and green onions, stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add star anise, cinnamon stick, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar, stir well.
- Pour in water, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours until the pork is tender.
- Uncover, turn up the heat to reduce the sauce until thickened.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
