Ingredients
- 500g pork intestines, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
- 2 cups water
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
Instructions
- In a pot, blanch the pork intestines in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse with cold water.
- Heat some oil in a wok, add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the blanched pork intestines, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Stir well to coat the intestines.
- Pour in water, add green onions and ginger. Cover and simmer over low heat for 2 hours until the intestines are tender.
- Once the intestines are tender, uncover the pot and continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
