Ingredients
- 3 lbs pork leg, cut into serving pieces
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar

- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, onion, star anise, and peppercorns.
- Add the pork leg pieces to the pot and pour in the water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours or until the pork is tender.
- Once the pork is tender, remove it from the pot and transfer to a serving dish.
- Continue to simmer the sauce until it thickens. Pour the thickened sauce over the pork before serving.
