Ingredients
- 500g pork ribs, cut into individual pieces
- 3 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the pork ribs to the pot and brown them on all sides.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat the pork ribs evenly.
- Add the potatoes to the pot and pour in the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the pork ribs are tender and the potatoes are soft.
- Once done, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
