Ingredients
- 500g spare ribs, cut into small pieces
- 3 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 slices of ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Heat some oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the spare ribs and stir-fry until browned.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry for another minute.
- Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and Shaoxing wine. Stir to combine.
- Add the potatoes, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Stir well.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the spare ribs are tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
- Uncover and turn up the heat to thicken the sauce if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
