Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped nuts, if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
