Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 12 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the almonds, pistachios, sugar, cinnamon, and orange blossom water.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush with butter. Repeat with 2 more sheets.
  4. Cut the layered phyllo into 6 squares.
  5. Place a spoonful of the nut mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the phyllo over the filling to form a triangle, then continue folding to the end of the strip.
  7. Repeat with the remaining phyllo and nut mixture.
  8. Place the briouats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with vegetable oil.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Drizzle honey over the briouats while they are still warm.
