Bubur Lambuk Fusion
Bubur Lambuk Fusion is a delightful Bruneian dish that combines traditional Bubur Lambuk with a modern twist. This fusion recipe brings together the rich flavors of the classic Bubur Lambuk with a contemporary twist, creating a unique and delicious dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 500ml coconut milk
- 500ml chicken broth
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cardamom pods
- 1 star anise
- 1 lemongrass stalk, bruised
- 200g chicken, diced
- 1/2 cup diced carrots
- 1/2 cup diced potatoes
- 1/4 cup fried shallots
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice and drain well.
- In a large pot, combine the rice, coconut milk, chicken broth, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, star anise, and lemongrass. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the diced chicken, carrots, and potatoes. Continue to simmer for another 20 minutes or until the rice and chicken are fully cooked.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Bubur Lambuk Fusion in bowls, garnished with fried shallots.
