Ingredients
- 1 lb Smilyanski beans, soaked overnight
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, diced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped

- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 cups vegetable broth
Instructions
- Heat some oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and carrots, and cook until softened.
- Add the tomatoes, garlic, paprika, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes break down.
- Stir in the soaked beans and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beans are tender.
