Ingredients

Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and lemon zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10-15 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and knead in the raisins and almonds.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover the loaf with a kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the bread for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
