Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) pork shoulder, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) white wine
- 2 tbsp (30ml) vegetable oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced pork shoulder and cook until browned on all sides.
- Stir in the chopped onion and bell peppers, and cook until softened.
- Add the minced garlic, paprika, and cumin, and cook for another minute.
- Pour in the white wine and allow it to simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 45-50 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
- Adjust the seasoning if needed and serve the Bulgarian Stew hot.
