Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (60ml) brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, black pepper, and ginger to make the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Add the onion, carrot, and bell pepper to the skillet and continue stir-frying for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
