Bulgogi Kimbap (불고기김밥)
불고기김밥 (Bulgogi Kimbap) is a popular Korean dish made with seasoned beef, vegetables, and rice rolled in seaweed. It's a delicious and convenient meal that can be enjoyed as a snack or a light lunch.
Ingredients
- 4 sheets of dried seaweed (gim)
- 2 cups cooked short-grain white rice
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced beef sirloin
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 4 strips of pickled yellow radish (danmuji)
- 4 strips of egg omelette
- Sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Marinate the beef slices in soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil for 30 minutes.
- Cook the marinated beef in a hot skillet until fully cooked.
- Place a sheet of seaweed on a bamboo sushi mat and spread a thin layer of rice over it.
- Arrange the beef, carrot, cucumber, pickled radish, and egg omelette on top of the rice.
- Roll the kimbap tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with a little water.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on the kimbap and slice into bite-sized pieces.
