Bulgogi Sushi Maki, also known as Bulgogi Sushi Roll, is a delightful fusion of Korean bulgogi and Japanese sushi. This dish combines the savory and sweet flavors of bulgogi beef with the freshness of sushi rice and vegetables, all wrapped in nori seaweed.
Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 4 sheets nori seaweed
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Add the beef slices and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Cook the marinated beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Set aside to cool.
- Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.
- Arrange the cooked beef, cucumber, carrot, and avocado on the rice. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on the rolled sushi and slice into individual pieces.
