Butter Dosa (davangere Benne Dosa)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup urad dal (black gram lentils)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 cup poha (flattened rice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rice flour, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds in water for 4-5 hours.
  2. Grind the soaked ingredients along with poha to a smooth batter. Add salt and mix well. Let it ferment overnight.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
  4. Spread some butter on the dosa and cook until it turns crispy and golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
