This Butter Masala Pancake Burger, also known as Davangere Benne Masala Dosa Burger, is a delicious fusion dish that combines the flavors of a classic South Indian masala dosa with the convenience of a burger. It's a perfect blend of crispy dosa, flavorful masala, and creamy butter, all packed into a handheld burger form.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dosa batter
- 1 cup potato masala
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 burger buns
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- Green chutney and/or tomato ketchup, for serving
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick pan or dosa tawa over medium heat.
- Spread a ladleful of dosa batter on the pan to make a thin, crispy dosa.
- Once the dosa is cooked, spread a portion of potato masala on one half of the dosa.
- Fold the dosa over the masala to form a semi-circle shape.
- Repeat the process to make 4 dosa burgers.
- Spread butter on the outer side of each dosa burger and toast them on the pan until golden and crispy.
- Assemble the dosa burgers by placing sliced onions and tomatoes on the masala side, and adding green chutney and/or tomato ketchup if desired.
- Serve the Butter Masala Pancake Burgers hot and crispy.
