Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 200g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 sheets filo pastry
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the shredded cabbage, chopped onion, eggs, feta cheese, yogurt, sunflower oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Layer 5 sheets of filo pastry in a greased baking dish, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  4. Spread the cabbage mixture over the pastry.
  5. Layer the remaining 5 sheets of filo pastry on top, again brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
