Calzone Barese (Bari-style Calzone)

Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup chopped salami
- 1/4 cup chopped ham
- 1/4 cup chopped roasted red peppers
- 1/4 cup chopped black olives
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a 6-inch circle.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, tomato sauce, basil, salami, ham, roasted red peppers, olives, salt, and black pepper.
- Place a portion of the filling on one half of each dough circle, leaving a border around the edge.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and crimp the edges to seal.
- Transfer the calzones to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
