Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter. Gradually add the Marsala wine and knead the dough until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Wrap each circle around a cannoli tube and seal the edges with egg white.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cannoli shells until golden brown. Remove from the oil and let them cool.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Fill the cooled cannoli shells with the ricotta mixture and sprinkle chopped pistachios on the ends.
