Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
- 1/4 cup fish sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons minced ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the fish sauce, sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic, and black pepper.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown on both sides.
- Pour the fish sauce mixture over the chicken and stir to coat the chicken evenly.
- Add water to the pot and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened.
