Caramelized Ginger Chicken (Gà kho gừng)

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons minced ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the fish sauce, sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown on both sides.
