Ingredients
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the rum, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the ribs in a large roasting pan and pour the marinade over them, making sure to coat both sides.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 30 minutes, basting the ribs with the pan juices every 10 minutes.
- Once the ribs are tender and caramelized, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
