Carne de Naranja Agria, or Tangy Orange Beef, is a delicious fusion dish that combines the flavors of Latin American and Chinese cuisines. This dish features tender strips of beef marinated in a tangy orange sauce, creating a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Add the sliced beef and marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the bell pepper and onion. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Return the beef to the skillet and stir in the green onions. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the Tangy Orange Beef hot with steamed rice.
