Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into chunks

- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 bay leaves

- 1/4 cup raisins
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef stew meat and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the onions, garlic, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
- Add the cilantro, oregano, cumin, paprika, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- Stir in the olives and raisins during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve the Carne Guisada hot.
