Ingredients
- 2 lbs cassava root, peeled and cut into fries
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, toss the cassava fries with salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the seasoned cassava fries to the hot oil in batches, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes per batch.
- Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Season with additional salt if desired and serve hot.
