Cassava Pancakes With Spiced Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cassava flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cassava flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually and mix until smooth.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease with vegetable oil.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan and spread it into a circle.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Heat over low heat until warm.
  7. Serve the cassava pancakes with the spiced syrup drizzled on top.
