Cataplana
Cataplana is a traditional Portuguese seafood dish cooked in a copper clam-shaped pot of the same name.
Ingredients
- 1 lb clams
- 1 lb mussels
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the cataplana pot over medium heat.
- Add the clams, mussels, and shrimp to the pot.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers.
- Pour in the white wine and diced tomatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper, then close the cataplana pot.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the seafood is fully cooked.
- Sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving.
