Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped spring onions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornstarch, ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Add water gradually to make a smooth batter.
  2. Dip the cauliflower florets in the batter, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cauliflower florets until they are golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, heat a little more oil and sauté the chopped spring onions for a minute.
  5. Add the remaining batter mixture to the pan and stir well to make the Manchurian sauce.
  6. Add the fried cauliflower florets to the sauce and toss to coat them evenly.
  7. Garnish with more spring onions and serve hot.
