Cetinje Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • 500g phyllo dough
  • 250g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 250g cottage cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the feta cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
  4. Layer half of the phyllo dough sheets in the bottom of the dish, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  5. Pour the cheese mixture over the phyllo dough.
  6. Layer the remaining phyllo dough sheets on top, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
