Ingredients

  • 1 lb squid, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the squid and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it is just cooked through. Remove the squid from the wok and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the onion, bell pepper, and carrot until they are slightly softened.
  4. Add the minced garlic and continue to stir-fry for another minute.
  5. Return the cooked squid to the wok.
  6. Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
